What is God's Reaction?

What is God's response

  • When we seek

  • When we fast

  • When we Hunger and Thirst for Him

  • When we Praise and Worship Him

Matthew 7:7-8 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: (8) For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

SEEK IS AN ACTION WORD

  • Strong's Concordance says about Seek in Matthew 7:7

    • to seek in order to find

  1. to seek a thing

  2. to seek [in order to find out] by thinking, meditating, reasoning, to enquire into

  3. to seek after, seek for, aim at, strive after

    • to seek i.e. require, demand

  • to crave, demand something from someone

  • It is very difficult to seek after something by staying still and doing nothing.

  • If you are just sitting there, I would wonder if you were doing anything at all

  • Seeking will require action from you - will require you to open your Bible and read the Work of God seeking for an answer or seeking to know Him better. Seeking will require you to spend time in prayer communicating with Him. Seeking will require you to fast. Believe me I do not like that one any more that you do. But if I am to be honest with myself, I need to realize I must subdue this flesh and set it aside to draw closer to the Lord.

THE BIBLES SAYS:

  • SEEK AND YOU WILL FIND

  • KNOCK AND THE DOOR WILL BE OPENED

Psalms 22:3 But Thou art holy, O Thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel

  • When we praise Him, He will inhabit, or dwell in that praise

Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

  • The Word of God says you SHALL be filled. SHALL! This is not a maybe response.

    • God says that if you seek me you will be filled of me!

2 Chronicles 7:14 If My people, which are called by My Name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

  • That is a direct response from God. IF, we humble ourselves and IF we pray, and IF we seek His face, and IF we turn from our wicked ways; THEN God will hear from heaven and will forgive our sins and will heal our land.

  • So then if seems logical that until we do our part, God will not hear from heaven. If we do not do our part, our sin will not be forgiven, our land will not be healed.

Galatians 6:7-8 Be no deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man seweth, that shall he also reap. (8) For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; be he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Smith Wigglesworth always said, "If we would only date to believe"

God responds to what we do!

  • When we are obedient to His word, when we do what He says to do:

    • He blesses us

    • He provides for us

    • He saves us

    • He heals us

Sometimes God is just waiting on us.

It may be time for us all to examine our own lives to see if we are in the faith. Are we obedient to the Word of God?
